These are all virgin grades of pelletized activated carbon made from bituminous coal. You can select from a wide range of activity levels. The 3mm and 4mm pellet diameters are the most popular for vapor-phase applications, since they represent an optimum of adsorption kinetics and low pressure drop for most applications. We typically use the 3mm size for air filter panels. Both 3mm and 4mm sizes are used in solvent recovery applications, depending on the adsorber size and desired throughput of solvent laden air.
PRESSURE SWING CARBON
H2PSAPACâ pelletized activated carbon is a virgin carbon made from selected coal using high temperature steam activation. It is a premium grade of products recommended for use in vapor phase applications involving air purification and H2 PSA Adsorption. As a result of a unique and careful control of production process, H2PSAPACâ offers superior adsorption properties.
ACTIVATED CARBON FOR ACID GASES KOH IMPREGNATED
Pelletized activated carbon impregnated with KOH made especially for use in a vapor application. Its particle size and pore structure has been specifically designed to provide the best adsorption of impurities from vapor stream with the least flow resistance.
This product is manufactured to adsorb odiferous by-products, solvent recovery, and VOC’s, H2S and Acid Gases as well as adsorption of trace contaminants.
Carbon tetrachloride adsorption values are available from 60% to 80% as required.

MERCURY REMOVAL ACTIVATED CARBON
MerGuard™ MZI-S is a sulfur impregnated pellet carbon. The carbon substrate is made from selected coal using high temperature steam activation. The impregnated carbon is specially made for mercury removal in industrial applications that require low mercury concentrations in gases streams to meet pollution effluent permit levels or protect downstream catalysts etc. As a result of a unique and careful control of production process, MerGuard™ MZI-30S10 offers superior properties for the application purpose.
SULFACAT® SULFUR REMOVAL CARBON - SULFUR REMOVAL FROM INERT & HYDROCARBON GASES, LIQUIDS
Sulfacat® is a catalytically active material with a carbon substrate. This adsorbent has proven performance for removing H2S, CS2, light mercaptans, t-Butyl mercaptan, sulfides, disulfides, and H2Se (hydrogen selenide). This adsorbent was specially developed for removing sulfur compounds from streams that do not contain oxygen. It can be regenerated by superheated steam at 300-400 °C, followed by an air sweep to reactivate the impregnant to its active form. The steam cycle removes recoverable sulfur from the carbon. The impregnant is non-corrosive. As a result of a unique and careful control of production process, Sulfacat® offers superior properties for the the removal of sulfur from a variety of gases and liquids.
